The last day of a trip always feels a little busy. Once the bags are checked and the boarding passes are ready, there is still the journey home to think about. That is why I appreciate a good airport lounge: it gives our family a little time to slow down, enjoy a meal and look back on the trip before boarding.
The Qatar Airways Premium Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport was a memorable place to do exactly that. From the calm seating areas and beautifully set dining tables to the buffet, bar and shower facilities, it offered plenty of ways to spend our time before the flight.
The food was the highlight for us. We enjoyed everything we ordered, from the burrata and prawn starter to the salmon and lamb rack. It felt like a lovely final meal together rather than a hurried bite at the airport.
Eligible Cathay Pacific Business Class passengers can also visit this lounge, although there is one important detail to plan around: the lounge is in Terminal 1, while Cathay Pacific generally departs from Terminal 4.
Here is our detailed review, with photos of the lounge, the dishes we tried and the facilities we found.
The photos show the food and facilities available during our visit. Opening hours, access rules and menus can change, so check the latest details before travelling.

The entrance sets the tone straight away. The illuminated Qatar Airways sign, warm lighting and simple flower arrangement create a calm welcome after the bustle of the terminal.
I liked how understated the entrance felt. It was elegant without being crowded with decoration, and it made me curious to see the rest of the lounge.

Can Cathay Pacific Business Class Passengers Access the Qatar Airways Lounge?
Cathay Pacific and Qatar Airways are both members of the oneworld alliance. The lounge is for Qatar Airways and oneworld First and Business Class ticketed revenue customers.
Cathay Pacific Business Class passengers travelling on a qualifying revenue ticket can visit under those conditions. If you are travelling on a codeshare or an upgraded ticket, check the operating airline and your individual access conditions before departure. You can also consult the oneworld lounge access guide.
If you are travelling as a family, check access for each person. One traveller’s Business Class ticket does not automatically guarantee complimentary admission for the rest of the family. It is also worth checking the rules for children and infants before your trip.
The lounge opens from 07:15 to 10:15, then reopens from 17:15 to 03:15 the following day. Plan around the break between the morning and evening sessions.
Getting from the Qatar Airways Lounge in Terminal 1 to Terminal 4
The lounge is on Level 3 of the Terminal 1 departure transit area, near Transfer C. Cathay Pacific generally operates from Terminal 4, so passengers flying with Cathay need to allow extra time after leaving the lounge.
Changi Airport’s transit shuttle connects the area near Gate C21 in Terminal 1 with the Transfer Lounge in Terminal 4. The airport lists an approximate shuttle frequency of eight minutes and a T1–T4 bus journey of about 19 minutes in its detailed route information.
That bus journey is only part of the trip. You also need time to walk from the lounge to the shuttle stop, wait for the bus and reach your departure gate after arriving at Terminal 4. Families should allow additional time for gathering bags and moving together. Changi Airport inter-terminal transfer guide
A good tip is to decide what time you need to leave the lounge before ordering your meal. It is much easier to enjoy lunch or dinner when you know you have allowed enough time to reach the gate.
Changi Airport says Terminal 4 passengers who have obtained their boarding pass may clear departure immigration at another terminal. Check your own check-in, baggage and transit-shuttle arrangements with the airline or airport. Changi Airport FAQ
Waiting Area Outside the Lounge Entrance

Directly outside the lounge entrance is a waiting area with a sofa. There are also computers in front of the seating, making it a useful place to sit for a few minutes or check something before continuing your journey.
I appreciated having somewhere to sit near the entrance. When travelling as a family, there are always little moments when someone needs to organise a bag or wait for another person. Having a comfortable place to pause makes those moments easier.
The dark wood, seating and small tree decoration give the area a calm feel. It is a pleasant introduction to the lounge before you even step inside.
Lounge Seating and Atmosphere

Inside, the lounge has a mix of grey sofas and warm brown armchairs. Small side tables and lamps sit beside the seats, providing space for a drink or a few personal belongings while you relax.
Comfortable seating is one of the first things I notice in an airport lounge. Good food is important, but I also want somewhere our family can settle down without feeling rushed.
The combination of sofas and individual armchairs gives travellers different ways to use the space. You can sit together for a conversation or choose a separate seat for a quieter moment. The decorative screens and soft lighting help divide the room while keeping the atmosphere open and inviting.
After a meal, this is the kind of place where I would happily sit for a while, talk about the trip and enjoy the remaining time before heading to the gate.
A Dining Area That Feels Like a Restaurant

The dining tables were neatly prepared with placemats, cutlery and glassware. A small plant in the centre added a thoughtful finishing touch.
The setting felt more like a quiet restaurant than a place to grab a quick airport snack. The dark placemats, white plates and coloured glasses all worked together beautifully, and sitting down to choose a meal felt like part of the experience.
When travelling, meals sometimes have to fit around transfers and check-in times. I enjoyed having a moment to sit with my family, look through the menu and anticipate a proper meal before the flight.

A Diptyque refreshing towel was placed on the table, too. It was a small detail, but it added to the feeling that the dining experience had been thoughtfully prepared.
After spending time out in Singapore’s heat, it was nice to freshen up before eating. Sometimes the little things are what make a lounge visit feel especially welcoming.
À La Carte Dining: Our Favourite Part of the Lounge
The food was the most memorable part of our visit. We ordered several different dishes, and everything we tried was delicious.
Choosing different dishes made the meal even more enjoyable. Each plate brought something new to the table, and it gave us plenty to talk about as a family. The presentation was lovely throughout, making the meal feel like a treat at the end of our trip.
Qatar Airways publishes a Singapore Premium Lounge menu, although dishes and availability can change.
Burrata with Mixed Berry Compote and Strawberries

The burrata was a beautiful way to start. Green leaves and red fruit were arranged around the cheese on a white plate, and the colours immediately made the dish stand out.
The soft burrata and bright berry flavours made a lovely combination. It was a refreshing starter and a pleasant contrast to the richer dishes that followed.
I particularly enjoyed having something colourful and light at the beginning of the meal. It set a great tone for the rest of our dining experience.
Prawn Tempura with Fried Leek, Chilli Soba Sauce and Sesame Seed Dressing

The prawn dish arrived with colourful vegetables and a separate bowl of sauce. Served on a dark plate, the bright greens and reds made it especially appealing.
The combination of prawns, vegetables and sauce was delicious, and the dish brought a different character to the table alongside the burrata. It was enjoyable to try several starters as a family and appreciate the variety.
Grilled Salmon with Rice and Vegetables

The salmon was another satisfying choice. It was served with rice, vegetables and a small jug of sauce, making it feel like a complete meal rather than a light lounge snack.
After days of travelling, I found it especially nice to have a dish served with rice before boarding. The colourful vegetables made the plate look fresh and inviting, and the sauce could be added to taste.
It was a lovely choice for anyone who prefers fish and wants a substantial meal before the flight.
Grilled Lamb Rack with Mashed Potatoes and Mint Chutney Sauce

The lamb rack was one of the most eye-catching dishes at our table. It arrived with mashed potatoes, vegetables and mint chutney sauce on the side.
It felt like a particularly generous and special main course for an airport lounge. The combination of the lamb, potatoes and sauce made for a delicious plate, and I enjoyed taking the time to savour it rather than rushing through the meal.
From the starters to the salmon and lamb, every dish we ordered was enjoyable. The meal alone made the lounge visit feel worthwhile.
The Buffet: Bread, Fruit, Salads and Desserts
Alongside the à la carte menu, there is a buffet with a variety of lighter options. I liked having both choices: you can sit down for a full meal and still browse the buffet for something small that catches your eye.
That flexibility is especially useful when travelling as a family. Everyone has a different appetite, and it is easy to choose a little of what you like.
Bread and Light Bites

The bread station had small rolls, longer pieces of bread and crackers arranged in wooden trays. Even this simple corner was neatly presented and pleasant to browse.
It is a useful stop if you want something light before a meal or a small bite with tea afterwards.
Fruit, Cold Dishes and Desserts

Fruit, cold dishes and small desserts were arranged in colourful rows. The display looked inviting, and the individual portions made it easy to pick a few things without committing to another full plate.
After a substantial main course, fruit or a small dessert is a lovely way to finish. I enjoyed looking over the different options and imagining a final cup of tea before leaving for the gate.
Salads and Middle Eastern Dips

The salad station offered vegetables, corn, tuna and other ingredients. There were also bowls labelled hummus and tabbouleh.
It was nice to see Middle Eastern options alongside more familiar buffet items. If you want a lighter meal, this area gives you a way to put together a colourful plate of your own.
If you have an allergy or dietary restriction, ask the staff about ingredients, preparation and possible cross-contact before choosing food.
The Round Bar

One of the most striking spaces in the lounge is the round bar. The curved counter and large circular light above it immediately draw your attention.
The dining room feels calm and restaurant-like, while the bar has a different energy. It is an appealing place to sit with a drink and enjoy a little more of the airport experience before departure.
I thought the combination of the lighting, counter and seating gave the lounge another distinct space to enjoy. If you have time after your meal, it is worth taking a look.

There were various bottles and glasses arranged behind the counter. The official menu also lists coffee, tea, juices and soft drinks, so there are choices for family members who do not drink alcohol.
Ask the staff about the availability of a particular drink and whether any additional charge applies.
Shower Facilities

A shower is a welcome facility after spending time in Singapore’s warm weather. The room had a spacious sink and mirror, with a glass door separating the shower cubicle.
The light-coloured counter, darker shower area and small flower arrangement gave the room a calm and tidy appearance. It is reassuring to have a place to freshen up before a long flight.
Amenities and small towels were placed by the sink, and another towel was hanging on the shower door. Towels and amenities were available at the time of our visit.

The shower cubicle had a handheld shower and toiletries. Taking time to freshen up before boarding can make the journey feel much more comfortable.
If a shower is important to your plans, ask the staff as soon as you arrive. Families should allow time for everyone who wants to use the facilities, as well as time for dining and the transfer to Terminal 4.
Is the Qatar Airways Premium Lounge Good for Families?
For our family, the lounge offered several appealing ways to spend time together. There were sofas for relaxing, tables for a sit-down meal and a buffet where everyone could choose according to their appetite.
The food was the standout. Ordering different dishes and enjoying them together turned the wait before our flight into another pleasant part of the trip.
The waiting area outside the entrance is useful, too. With a sofa and computers nearby, it gives families a place to pause when they need a few minutes to get organised.
We did not confirm a dedicated children’s play area or nursing room. If you are travelling with young children and need either facility, check before your visit.
The main practical consideration remains the transfer to Terminal 4. If you want time for a shower and a relaxed à la carte meal, plan to arrive early enough to enjoy both without feeling rushed.
Qatar Airways Lounge or Cathay Pacific Lounge in Singapore?
The Cathay Pacific lounge is in Terminal 4, making it convenient for Cathay Pacific departures. Its official page lists a Noodle Bar, buffet, workstations, Wi-Fi and charging facilities. Cathay Pacific Singapore lounge guide

Final Thoughts
The Qatar Airways Premium Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport was a lovely place to spend time before our flight. The dining room, comfortable seating, bar and shower facilities all contributed to a relaxed experience.
Most of all, I remember the food. The burrata, prawn dish, salmon and lamb rack were all delicious, and sharing the meal made our final hours in Singapore feel special.
It was a reminder that the airport can be part of the journey too. Sitting down together, enjoying a good meal and taking a moment to reflect on the trip gave us a pleasant ending before heading home.
If you are travelling on a qualifying Cathay Pacific Business Class revenue ticket, check each family member’s access, the lounge opening hours and the time needed to reach Terminal 4. With enough time in your schedule, this lounge is a rewarding place to stop.
